Empowered Beginnings is more than a program—it is a movement to restore dignity, support, and life-affirming care to mothers who have too often been overlooked, unheard, and underserved at no cost.

At Chosen Women Empower, we are deeply committed to walking alongside women—especially Black and Hispanic mothers across Central Texas, with a primary focus in Bastrop County—ensuring they receive the care, advocacy, and support they deserve at every stage of their motherhood journey.

From pregnancy through the first year postpartum, our trained Community Health Workers and Doulas provide compassionate, hands-on emotional and physical support before, during, and up to 12 months after birth. We create a nurturing, judgment-free space where every woman’s voice is valued, every experience is honored, and every birth story matters.

Through Empowered Beginnings, mothers receive:

• Comprehensive education on childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care

• Personalized advocacy, empowering women to make informed, confident decisions for themselves and their babies

• Consistent, culturally responsive support that honors lived experiences and builds trust

• Reliable transportation assistance to and from medical appointments and pharmacy visits, removing barriers to essential care

Our doulas and Community Health Workers are trained through Huston-Tillotson University’s elite Boldly B.L.U.E. program, equipping them with the knowledge and cultural awareness needed to serve our communities with excellence.

We proudly partner with InovCares, connecting mothers to culturally competent healthcare providers who understand the unique needs of women of color. Through convenient telemedicine, health tracking, and comprehensive women’s and pediatric care, mothers can access quality healthcare that fits their lives—without barriers.
