Social Media Intern — Job Description

Position: Social Media Intern

About the Role

We are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media Intern to support our digital marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about content creation, branding, and social media trends. You will assist in planning, creating, and publishing content across multiple platforms while learning hands-on skills in marketing and brand communication.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing social media content calendars.

  • Create engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

  • Help capture, edit, and repurpose photos, videos, and short-form content.

  • Monitor audience engagement, comments, and messages across channels.

  • Research current trends, hashtags, sounds, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

  • Support social media reporting by tracking growth, engagement, and campaign performance.

  • Brainstorm creative concepts and collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns.

  • Help maintain brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and content creation.

  • Basic understanding of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.

  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools (preferred).

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to learn, experiment, and adapt to fast-paced digital trends.

Board Member

 

Our non-profit, Chosen Women Empower, is seeking a dedicated governing board member to help shape our organization's vision and strategy. As a governing board member, you will be responsible for strategic planning, oversight of financial management and fundraising, representation of the organization in the community, and commitment to 4 meetings per year.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Experience in a governance or leadership role

  • Passion for specific area of focus or mission

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to commit to a 2 year term
