Chosen Women Empower (CWE) is proud to introduce Chosen Little Layers Diaper Bank, a new community-centered initiative dedicated to addressing diaper insecurity and providing essential support to mothers, babies, and families throughout all of Bastrop County, Texas.

 

From Bastrop and Elgin to Smithville, Cedar Creek, McDade, Paige, Red Rock, and the surrounding rural communities, our commitment is simple: No family should have to navigate diaper insecurity alone.

For many families, something as essential as diapers can become a significant financial burden. When household budgets are stretched between housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, and healthcare, purchasing enough diapers can create difficult choices.

 

At Chosen Women Empower, we believe a baby's basic needs should never become an impossible choice for a parent. That belief is the foundation of Chosen Little Layers.

 

More Than Diapers. A Community of Care.

 

Chosen Little Layers Diaper Bank is designed to help reduce the financial strain of diaper insecurity by connecting families with diapers, essential infant hygiene supplies as available, and supportive community resources.

 

Through community partnerships, corporate contributions, faith-based organizations, individual donors, and compassionate volunteers, we envision building a sustainable network of support that reaches families across Bastrop County, including those living in communities where access to assistance may be limited.

 

Our goals are to:​

• Reduce diaper insecurity by increasing access to essential diapering supplies for families experiencing financial hardship.

• Support healthy beginnings by helping parents maintain adequate diapering and hygiene supplies for their babies.

• Preserve family dignity by providing assistance with compassion, respect, and without judgment.

• Reach rural and underserved communities throughout Bastrop County, recognizing that transportation and geographic barriers can limit access to resources.

• Strengthen community partnerships with healthcare providers, churches, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other community stakeholders.

• Connect families to additional resources that promote stability, wellness, and long-term well-being.

Chosen Little Layers™ reflects the heart of Chosen Women Empower's mission: Learning. Growing. Evolving.

 

While our Chosen Beginnings maternal and infant health program provides comprehensive support throughout pregnancy and postpartum, Chosen Little Layers™ expands our commitment to the broader community by creating a dedicated diaper assistance initiative for eligible families across Bastrop County.

 

Families will not be required to participate in Chosen Beginnings to seek support from Chosen Little Layers.

 

We recognize that diaper insecurity does not discriminate by ZIP code, background, or circumstance. Whether a family is experiencing a temporary financial setback or ongoing economic challenges, every request for assistance deserves to be met with dignity and compassion.

 

It Takes a Village to Wrap a Baby in Love.

 

We invite Bastrop County businesses, faith-based partners, healthcare organizations, civic groups, foundations, and community members to join us in building Chosen Little Layers. Through diaper drives, financial contributions, in-kind donations, volunteer engagement, and community referral partnerships, we can create a stronger network of support for the youngest members of our community. Because one diaper may seem like a small gift, but to a parent struggling to provide the essentials, it represents relief, dignity, and one less worry.
